COLOMBO – The Shafwan Helping Hand felicitated grade five scholarship achievers year 2023 at the Colombo Grandpass St. Joseph College Auditorium recently .
It was held under the patronage of Director of the Helping Hand and former United National Party Colombo Municipal Councilor A. R. M. Shafwan.
Chief of Staff to the President and National Security Advisor Sagala Ratnayaka was present as chief guest. Former Mayor of Colombo Rosy Senanayake and SLBC Advisor Hassim Omar also present as guests of honour.
More than 100 Students from the Grandpass Electorate received certificates, medals and gift vouchers from chief guest and guests of honour.
Religious dignitaries including Ex Colombo Municipal Councilor Kaleel ur Rahuman, Principals of the Jayanthi Vidyalaya, Al Nasar Maha Vidyalaya, St. Joseph Maha Vidyalaya and Vijayabahu Vidyalaya along with teachers, parents and students were also present.
