


COLOMBO : A special discussion on the upcoming 10-year planning process (2025–2035) was held on Monday. (01 September ) at the Ministry of Health and Mass Media Planning Unit Under the leadership of Dr. S. Sreedharan, Deputy Director General of the Ministry.
The discussion was attended by religious leaders representing Buddhist, Hindu, Islam, and Christian, as well as Dr. Janaki Vidhanapathirana, Director of Planning, other specialist medical professionals, and senior officials of the Ministry.
The focus of the discussion was to gather insights and cooperation from religious leaders to ensure that future health sector plans are inclusive, community-driven, and sensitive to the diverse social and cultural fabric of the country.
This initiative underscores the importance of collaboration between religious leaders and state institutions in creating effective and equitable health strategies for the people of Sri Lanka.
