COLOMBO : Schools have been advised to refrain from inviting politicians for their events .
Measures should be taken to prevent politicians from participating in school functions said Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya said on Thursday, Sept.26
Dr. Amarasuriya, who also holds the Education Ministerial portfolio, visited the ministry and held a meeting with officials after assuming her role as Minister of Education.
Addressing the officials ,the Prime Minister emphasised that enhancing school education is a key objective of the current Government, and it has been decided to increase funding for education under her administration.
