COLOMBO: A group of delegation comprising the National Haj Mission and the associations for Haj and Umrah operations in Sri Lanka met the Charge de affaires of the Saudi embassy Abdulelah Al Orkobi on Thursday 4th May 2023 to thank the release of the backlog of 850 pilgrims whose visas were held up in the systems .
Natonal Haj Mission Chairman Ibrahim Sahib Ansar told Colombo Times that they are thankful to the Saudi ambassador in Colombo Khalid Hamoud Al Khatani and Lankan ambassador in Riyadh PM Amza for taking sincere efforts to get these pilgrims cleared before the Hajj season begins.
