COLOMBO : Russian Minister of Science and Higher Education Mr. Valery Falkov held the 3rd ceremony conferring the title “Ambassador of Russian Education and Science”.
🎓The ambassadors’ mission is to raise awareness abroad of Russian educational opportunities and achievements in scientific and technological fields. Ambassadors are government and public figures, graduates of Russian and Soviet universities, who have achieved outstanding success in their professional careers.
This year, the honorary title was awarded to 11 citizens from Vietnam, India, China, Colombia, Congo, Mali, Mongolia, Namibia, Uganda, Senegal, and Sri Lanka, represented by Mr. Buddhapriya Ramanayaka, CEO of the Russian Cultural Center in Colombo.
☑️The Minister noted that, thanks to the ambassadors’ work, inter-university contacts are developing, the number of joint educational and research projects is growing, and the number of people wishing to study and pursue scientific careers in Russia is increasing.
