ÇOLOMBO : Royal International, Colombo 9, Elocution School, held the Prize Giving Ceremony
2024, on Sunday, 05th January, at the Tower Hall, Colombo.
The ceremony was presided over by the Director of the school M.S.M. Farhan,
Principal Mrs.Rizwana Farhan, Registrar Dr. Raheema Ruhulla, academic and non-academic
staffs, parents and other guests were also present..
Entailing the formal welcome, reports to the students who got 1st, 2nd and 3rd
positions in each class were given on the stage. Following that, certificates and
trophies were distributed to the students who excelled in academics, who obtained
100 marks in Royal Exams (Royal International all institute graded examinations
conducted by the school), in Elocution exams conducted by IWMS and to students
who obtained 100 marks for all the subjects in the year end test.
Further, medals were worn to 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners of annual speech competition
of each category: Pre-Junior, Junior, Senior, Super-Senior and Advanced students.
Special medals to the students of each grade who were recognized as the Best
students of the year were worn by the Director Mr.M.S.M. Farhan.
The certificates of completion of Elocution school were distributed by the Registrar
Dr. Raheema Ruhulla to the passing out students and the farewell speech was delivered
by a final year student pulled the audience by his emotional speech.
A few entertainment items also were staged and the students’ danced to the tune of
“waka waka…” song with colourful props was the essence of the evening.
The audience was enthralled by a special event of presenting awards to
teachers/staffs, which was held first time in a Royal International Prize Giving
Ceremony.
At a the last stage of the ceremony, addressing the gathering, the Principal Mrs.Rizwana
Farhan stated that the students have smartly carved a niche for themselves. She
added that students should not only be imparted excellent education but also be
given great morale and values so they can effectively march forward to serve their nation.
