COLOMBO – Royal Institute Senior Staff Mrs. Shehara Kanaka Halaldeen’s tenth and eleventh publication of “ My First Environment Activity Book 1 and My First Number Activity Book 3 “ two books for kindergarten and pre grade children was launched at the Raffles Banquet Hall , Nugegoda on Sunday October 29.
University of Colombo Dean of Faculty of Medicine Prof. Vajira Dissanayake was present as chief guest and received the first copy of books from author of book Shehara Halaldeen.
Video presentation was presented about Shehara Halaldeen’s life story and memories at this event.
Hassim Omar, Advisor, Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation, B. Suriarachchi , former Principal Richmond College Galle, Janaprith Fernando, Chief Commissioner of the Sri Lanka Scout Association, Ishan Jaleel, Motivational Speaker and Consultant on Youth and Disability Issues, Chitra Singaravel, Former Vice Principal Royal Institute, Mrs. Shakira Zimal , Principal Anderson Park International Pre-school and Montessori, Dr. Mrs. Ruwangi Dissanatake Consultant Pediatric Lady Ridgeway Hospital and Lecturer Colombo Medical College were present as special guests at this ceremony.
Students from Wesley College Colombo, Gateway College, Devi Balika Vidylaya, Royal Institute, Rewatha College, Wycherley International School, Muslim Ladies College, Anuala Vidyalaya, Royal College, Sirimavo Bandaranaike Vidyalaya and Visaka Vidyalaya were also present.
Principals, teachers, students of various schools, members of the Lions Club and family members of the author graced the event. Nihmaath Halaldeen, son of the author, proposed the vote of thanks.
