COLOMBO : Do not expect justice where might is right- Plato
Apparently, the popular English aphorism, Might is Right has been a dominant force and witnessed in this beloved nation, to be right for the last 70 years or so and, to be precise, completely right, for the last 45 years as most of our front-line politicians and the so-called leaders mainly used the power for their promotion and the elite. Fortunately, the recent election of the humble and simple son of the remote village of Thambuttegama, the leader of the NPP and the JVP Anura Kumara Dissanayaka on 21st September 2024 has completely changed the political landscape putting an end to corruption, family bandysm, dishonesty, thuggery, undue influence, nepotism, dynasty. There wasn’t any pomp and pageantry to celebrate his elevation as the 10th executive president of this nation for the country has been undergoing an unwanted economic crunch due to the misruling and rampant corruption of the successive government. His simple request not to celebrate this momentous occasion was readily accepted by the masses of this nation.
Peaceful Surroundings
The new President Anura Kumara Dissanayaka has really set a great example in cutting down expenses of the Government and the Cabinet. The era of the show off of the prominent politicians has come to a grinding halt. The new parliament won’t be a palace of spendthrifts as it is to be changed into an active place of administration for the uplifting of the masses.
Today, the biggest blessing the nation, particularly masses have got under the new leader is the calm and peaceful surroundings and the healthy environment that has dawned with the ruling of the NPP led by the People Liberation Front or the JVP. Essentially, the nation is indebted to the saviour of this Modern Sri Lanka, Anura Kumara Dissanayaka for his commitment and dedication for building a new mother country where all communities peacefully live as the children of Mother Lanka.
The 10th Parliamentary Election to be held on 14th of November would definitely be as peaceful as the last Presidential Election that was recorded to be the most violence free elections in the annals of the history of this nation. Look, front, left, right or back, there is no tension whatsoever for anyone under the new ruling of Sri Lanka. Politics that has gone to the dogs for donkey’s years will certainly come back as a treasure to the real gentlemen. When the curse of God is seen, the adage age old Might is Right, has transformed into be Right is Might giving a big hope for the masses and the innocent while giving a great panic and tension to the corrupted and unscrupulous politicians who invariably belong to different colours.
Real Power of Ballot
A new political culture has radiantly bloomed in this beloved island under the colour of Maroon. Mother Lanka needs clean politicians of other colours as well to give a helping hand to our new visionary and the astute leader Anura Kumara Dissanayaka. Clearly, the sound of bullet is no more in Sri Lanka as the power of ballot is dominantly shown in the last presidential election where JVP led NPP stole the limelight. Undoubtedly, it is the great reward for the commitment, patience and honesty of this Left Political Party of Sri Lanka. The latest election of the Ambalangoda Pradeshiya Sabah has clearly indicated that Compass takes the lead in any elections in Sri Lanka. Gladly, the 10th Parliamentary election is at hand. The voters have a very big responsibility to elect the right candidates who always know the pulse of the people.
