COLOMBO : St.Sebastian Sinhala Vidyalaya in Colombo 12 had started its renovation of the School building on Saturday Nov.4 with a fund from Saeeda Foundation in Dubai.
” We are grateful to the former provincial councillor Nauzer Fowzie for this noble project for the development of education with a pledge of Rs 5 million through the foundation,” school principal Roshani Preena Raban.
There was a ceremony at the school for the inauguration of the work on Saturday in the presence of Nauzer Fowzie came along with three ex-minsters, namely A H M Fowzie, Ravi Karunanayake and Mano Ganesan. The donation was handed over the to Principal Raban.
Speaking on behalf of the Past Pupils Association, its vice president M R M Farzan said ; ” We the PPA are thrilled and encouraged with the presence of A H M Fowzie a proud son of St Sebastian, who was able to reach the peak as a Muslim citizen.”
