CHINA FORT- The Beruwela Base Hospital which was renovated at a cost Rs 20 million was formally opened by China fort Mosque committee chairman Alhaj Mukthar on Wednesday, September 21.
The area parliamentarian Parliament Marjan Faleel, Ismail A. Cadir and Aqil from Macksons Holding’s , Haj Committee Chairman Ahkam Uvais , Business magnate and philanthropist Muslim Salahuddin , and Issadeen Andeen from Abdeen jewelers were present.
In his speech Muslim Salahudeen pledged to contribute Rs 5 million to set up an Xray clinic in the hospital and the total collection of Rs 20 million towards this project was funded by the China Fort Emergency Relief Fund,with the support of the Mac Holdings and Abdeen Jewellers which made donations in kind.
