COLOMBO : Following the demise of Queen Elizabeth II, Head of the Commonwealth & Queen of Ceylon 1952-72, Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe has instructed the Ministry of Public Administration & Home Affairs to fly his country’s National flag at half mast in all Public buildings.
The period of National Mourning will be announced subsequently.
“Deepest condolences to the Royal Family, Government & people of the UK on the passing of HM Queen Elizabeth II Head of the Commonwealth & Queen of Ceylon 1952-72” President Ranil Wickeremesinghe said in a statement issued following the death of the Queen.
