COLOMBO : Retired Maj. Gen. Jagath Alwis has resigned as Secretary to the Ministry of Public Security, after providing a statement to the Criminal Investigations Department on the events that broke out at the MynaGoGama and GotaGoGama protest sites in Colombo.
