ISLAMABAD :Funds of hundred thousand US dollars and first salary of 1667 US Dollar committed by Rajco Industries for next 10 years as announced by Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has been transferred to the account of Widow of deceased Sri Lankan Manager of the late Priyantha Kumara who was killed in a mob attack in Sialkot in Pakistan.
In a statement made available to Colombo Times, Dr Shahbaz Gill, special assistant to Pakistan premier Khan ,said that this was a pledge given by the prime minister on behalf of the Priyantha Kumara’s company in Sialkot.
Priyantha Kumara, a 49-year-old Sri Lankan national, was killed by a mob at a factory in Sialkot on December 3, where he worked as a manager.
A first information report (FIR) was registered against hundreds of unidentified men, including workers of the factory. Scores have since been arrested and are facing investigation.
