COLOMBO: The President of All India Ulama and Mashaikh Board (AIUMB), His Holiness As Seyed Al Aalim Muhammad Ashraf Asharafi Kichauchvi visited the Sheikh Usman Waliyullah Shrine at Dewetagaha, Colombo-07 yesterday. He was welcomed by the Chairman & Trustees of the Mosque. The President, Vice President & Executive Committee Members of the Supreme Council of Sufi Thareeqas(SCOT) welcomed his Holiness and sat down for a discussion on contemporary issues that are faced by the Muslim community in common in India and Sri Lanka.
It must be noted that the AIUMB is the Apex Body of Sunni Sufi Muslims of India and are the organizers of the World Sufi Forum(WSF). Many conferences are held worldwide with the attendance of Sunni Sufi Leaders from Around the globe. The inaugural conference was held in New Delhi on 17th of March 2016 in the presence of the Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi. His holiness invited the SCOT to be a member of the World Sufi Forum and ensured fullest support to the Vision and Mission of SCOT.
