

GENEVA : The President of the All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama (ACJU), Mufti M.I.M. Rizwe, representing Sri Lankan Islamic scholars, made a significant visit to the United Nations, Geneva, where he actively participated in the Social Forum and delivered a compelling address on issues of global significance. the audience at the Social Forum:

Friday Sermon at UN Geneva Mosque: Adding to the significance of his visit, the ACJU President was granted the privilege of delivering a Friday sermon on 03rd of November 2023 at the mosque located within the United Nations premises in Geneva. The sermon served as an opportunity to promote unity, compassion, and mutual respect among worshippers, emphasized the universal values of Islam, including peace, justice, and compassion, and highlighted the importance of interfaith dialogue and cooperation as essential tools for building a more harmonious world, and was well-received by those in attendance.
He also touched upon the pressing concerns facing Muslims across the globe and the region, highlighting the role of the ACJU in promoting social justice, human rights, and religious coexistence.
It is noteworthy to mention that the sermon also highlighted about the Constitution of Madeena, which was one of the first Constitutions in the History of mankind. The Constitution emphasizes matters related to Religious Rites was introduced by our beloved Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him) in the Holy City of Medina, which recognizes the paramount importance of working with authorities and other faith leaders to regulate the religious space and build moderation, tolerance and coexistence.
