COLOMBO : People flocked in hundreds when they heard the liquor shops were to be opened on Friday,September 17,in the afternoon.
It was the case in all major cities in the island. Liquor shops were closed during the lockdown and they were opened after a long spell as the government announced another extension of the quarantine curfew till October 1.
