People-friendly Saudi policeman : An example to be emulated

COLOMBO: Our friend Rizmy Reyal ,chairman of the Traveller Global ,recently had the distinct privilege of attending the Hajj and Umrah Conference and Exhibition 2025, meticulously organized by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in the vibrant and culturally rich city of Jeddah.
The primary objective of this highly anticipated conference was to significantly elevate the standard of services offered to pilgrims from around the globe, ensuring a seamless, enriching, and spiritually fulfilling experience.
Following the conference, my friend encountered an unexpected and an unforgettable eerience while he was trying to return to his hotel.
Confused and unable to determine his location, he found himself panic-stricken and unsure of of the route to go to his hotel or whom to contact for assistance. The situation left him at lurch, particularly as a visitor in an unfamiliar city.
At this critical juncture, he noticed a Saudi Police officer nearby and decided to seek his help. The officer, exemplifying remarkable professionalism, empathy, and a genuine sense of responsibility, immediately stepped in to give him a helping hand
Understanding the gravity of the situation, the officer contacted an Uber taxi on my friend’s behalf and personally guided the driver, providing precise directions to the hotel.
when Reyal reached his destination and wanted to pay the taxi fare, to my friend’s amazement, the officer had gone beyond the call of duty by covering the cost of the taxi fare himself, ensuring that my friend’s journey back to his accommodation was smooth and worry-free.
This heartwarming incident serves as a testament to the exceptional dedication and visitor-centered ethos of the Saudi Police. Their unwavering readiness to assist individuals in distress underscores their professionalism and feelings for humanity.
Moreover, it reflects the Kingdom’s broader commitment to creating a hospitable, welcoming, and compassionate environment for all visitors, leaving a lasting impression of kindness and support.
