COLOMBO — The Pakistan high commission in Colombo hosted a farewell reception to the outgoing High Commissioner of Pakistan Major General Umar Farooq Burki at the Hilton Hotel, Colombo on Friday January 5.
During the ceremony, the High Commissioner of Bangladesh, High Commissioner of Malaysia, Ambassador of Indonesia and Ambassador of Russia hailed the efforts of High Commissioner Umar Farooq during his term in Sri Lanka.
High Commissioner General Umar Farooq expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the Sri Lankan People, members of the diplomatic corps and especially Foreign Ministry officials for their support during his tenure.
The Ambassadors, High Commissioners and Embassy officials presented the outgoing High Commissioner with souvenirs
and wished him success.
