MALE : The owner of the Velaa Private Island Resort in Maldives Jiri Smejc on Monday,made a personal donation of US$ 100,000 to the relief effort of government of Sri Lanka. Additionaly the staf of the Velaa Private Island Resort also made donation of a US$ 15,000. The token cheques of the both donation was handed over to the High Commissoner of Sri Lanka in Maldives Rizvi Hassen by Gaushan De Silva, Director of the Velaa Private Island Resort Monday (16/12) at the Chancery. High Commissioner, on behalf of Government and people of Sri Lanka conveyed his gratitude and sincere thanks to the management of the Velaa Resort .
