The Department of Examinations has assured that the G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) question papers scheduled for Friday, August(14) have not been leaked in any way and that tomorrow’s examination will proceed as planned.
The Commissioner General of Examinations, Indika Kumari Liyanage, has urged candidates not to panic over false information claiming that G.C.E. A/L examination question papers scheduled for tomorrow have been leaked.
The department therefore urged all candidates to sit for the examination as per usual without unnecessary fear or concern.
The clarification follows the discovery today (13), at an examination centre located at a school in the Ambalantota area, of six packets containing the Physics Exam’s first question papers, which are scheduled to be conducted tomorrow.
The six packets were found inside a container containing question paper packets for the subjects of Music, Dancing and Agriculture examinations scheduled to be held today (13).
The Department of Examinations confirmed that the relevant Physics question paper packets had not been unsealed or exposed in any manner and immediate steps were taken to reseal the packets after they were discovered.
