COLOMBO : Airport & Aviation Services Sri Lanka (AASL) has issued a strict warning against flying kites near international airports, citing threats to aircraft and passenger safety.
In a statement , AASL stated that flying any object above 300 feet within a 5 km radius of an international airport is banned and considered a punishable offence.
Authorities emphasised that such activities disrupt flight operations and pose serious risks to aviation safety.
The AASL urges the public to follow these regulations to avoid legal consequences and ensure the safety of all air travelers.
