COLOMBO – The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce in association with the Sri Lanka China Business Council had organized Networking Session with the delegation from Yunnan Province China at the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce on Friday October 20.
Gao Feng, Chairman of the Yunnan Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce, Wang Wei, Deputy Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Yunnan Province and delegates, as well as representatives of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce were present.
The Vice President of the Sri Lanka China Business Council M H K M Hameez delivered the welcome address said “reflecting on the core objective of the Sri Lanka – China Business Council, our primary role is to serve as a promoter and facilitator of bilateral trade, investments, and tourism between Sri Lanka and China, with a particular focus on boosting exports to China. We always encourage Chinese investment and the establishment of joint ventures in Sri Lanka between Chinese and Sri Lankan investors.”
In alignment with these goals,he said “ the Council has consistently supported its members in navigating their business ventures with China. We have maintained strong relationships with the Embassy of Sri Lanka in China and the Embassy of China in Sri Lanka, furthering our commitment to fostering fruitful connections.”
Further he said :”I am confident that today’s discussions will provide an ideal platform for the exchange of views, allowing us to collectively explore opportunities for enhancing trade and investment between Sri Lanka and China. “I want to reiterate our unwavering commitment to contributing to the growth of trade, investment, and tourism between Sri Lanka and China.” He concluded
