NEGOMBO – The Negombo Municipal Council,NMC, complex was temporarily closed for business on Thursday August 12, due to Covid crisis.
Commissioner of Negombo Municipal Council Ruwanthi Fernando told Colombo Times that complex will remain closed until further notice. She said that during a routine Antigen tests conducted among the NMC employees, it was revealed a few of them were found positive for the virus following the tests.
However, Fernando said that the health department of the council will remain open to attend to the urgent health needs of the people.
