COLOMBO :,The Naleemiah Institute of Islamic Studies is preparing to mark a significant milestone as it celebrates its Golden Jubilee and General Convocation 2023 on 24th of June 9.30am to 01.00pm at Main Hall, BMICH. With a rich history of 50 years of academic excellence, the institute eagerly anticipates honouring the accomplishments of the last seven graduating batches during this momentous event.
The President , Members of the society and Board of Management, rector and staff members,old boys Association of Jamiah Naleemiah were participating of Golden Jubilee and General Convocation 2023. Emeritus Professor, University of Colombo, Rauff Hakeem M.P Leader of SLMC, Imthiyas Barkeer Markar M.P Convocation Address by Prof.K.D. Reunka Silva Director -Centre for Quality Assurance ,Wayamba University, and Al Haj Yakooth Naleem, President of Society and Board of Management. ,Ash- Sheikh A.C. Agar Mohamed Rector of Jamiah Naleemiah, and Muslim Ministers and Member Parliament were participating on this occasion.
On the occasion of the Golden Jubilee, the Naleemiah Institute of Islamic Studies has planned a range of initiatives to celebrate its milestone. As part of the festivities, a commemorative souvenir will be released, capturing the essence of the institute’s journey over the past 50 years.
Following the event, an alumni general meeting will provide an opportunity for past graduates to reconnect and strengthen the institute’s alumni network. Additionally, a publication highlighting Naleemiah’s academic journey will be released, showcasing the institute’s growth, achievements and contributions to Islamic education over the past five decades. As a tribute to Late Dr. M.A.M. Shukri, the former Director, a book featuring his intellectual contributions and research works will be published. Furthermore, the celebrations will include a series of seminars and conferences, fostering intellectual discourse and promoting further advancements in the field.
The institute has recently created a special logo exclusively for the Golden Jubilee celebration. The emblem encapsulates the essence of Naleemiah’s academic journey, symbolizing its dedication to Islamic Studies and Human Sciences over the past five decades.
Jamiah Naleemiah located in Beruwela, Sri Lanka Islamic education Institute ,This Institute was formed in 1973 by Late Alhaj Naleem, who performed numeros vital activities and a role model for Sri Lankan Muslims,
