

COLOMBO : Aboobucker Asseyed Al Mashoor Al Hashmi Mowlana died in Jordan on Thursday, July 28, and his remains will be flown back to Yemen for burial scheduled after morning Fajr prayers on Friday, July 29
Marjan Faleel, MP for Kalutara district told Colombo Times that special prayers were offered at the Beruwela Ketchimal Mosque on Thursday, July 28 in the presence of a distinguished gathering seeking blessings from Almighty Allah to grant him Jennathul Firdouse after the demise.
The deceased was the brother of the father of Abdul Cader Mashoor Mowlana, who is currently staying in Saudi Arabia.
As Sheikh Dr. M S M Thassim said that its an irreparable loss to the Muslim world. The late Mowlana visited Sri Lanka in 2015 and had a great following from all parts of the island.
Grand Mufti of India has condoled the demise of renowned scholar Al Habib Abubakar Al Adni Bin Ali Al Mashoor. He was an international scholar who maintained close friendship with Indian scholars. Grand Mufti extended Special prayers for his blissful hereafter.
Abdul Cader Mashoor Mowlana had flown from Saudi Arabia to Yemen to pay his last respects to the Muslim dignitary.
