
COLOMBO : Korean diplomat Miyon Lee was sworn in as ambassador to Sri Lanka before Sri Lankan President Ranil in Kandy on Friday, June 30.
Lee who joined the foreign service in 1993, has completed her B.A. in Asian History, at Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea MSFS (Master of Science in Foreign Service), Georgetown University, WA, U.S.A.
She had Passed High Diplomatic Service Examination and Joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA).
She had served as First Secretary, Korean Permanent Mission to the UN Office and other International Organizations in Geneva, Switzerland.
She was also her country’s Ambassador and Deputy permanent representative in Geneve 2018 and dire ctor general of bilateral economic affairs at the foreign ministry in Korea
She was also the Counsellor, Korea the People’s Republic of China
Lee has also received the Prime Minister‘s Citation in recognition of her services towards her naton.
