The Minuwangoda Zonal Education Office organized a special event as part of the Tamil Day competition to honor M.I. Athaur Rahman. The event took place on Friday on July 19, at 8:30 a.m. at the Ummu Habeeba Auditorium of Al Aman Muslim Maha Vidyalaya.
This event was arranged to celebrate the contributions of Athaur Rahman, who has been selected for the Sri Lanka Education Administrative Service, SLES, to both the education sector and the Tamil community.
Athaur Rahman served at Al Aman Muslim Maha Vidyalaya from 2003 to 2014, making a significant contribution to the educational community, as noted by Mr. M.A.M. Rizvi, the Director of the Tamil Language Division Minuwangoda Zonal Education Office, during his speech.
The event was attended by many dignitaries, including the former Education Director of the Minuwangoda Zonal Education Office, M. Ashraf, who served as the guest of honor, and school principals, teachers, and alumni association members who all came together to grace the occasion.
