COLOMBO : The Ministry of Health has decided to implement a special dengue mosquito control programme on June 8, 9 and 10.
Accordingly, the programme will be carried out in 74 Medical Officer of Health (MOH) divisions across 14 districts.
The National Dengue Control Unit (NDCU) stated that assistance from the Police and the Tri-Forces will be obtained for the initiative.
Special attention will be given to areas identified as having a high risk of dengue transmission.
The NDCU further stated that red notices will be issued and legal action taken against individuals who maintain environments conducive to mosquito breeding.
