COLOMBO : Environment Minister Hafiz Naseer Ahamed and Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekara left for Doha on an official visit to hold talks with senior officials of the state of Qatar on Monday June 27.
Minister Ahamed was going as a special envoy of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa during this visit.
The Sri Lankan delegation is going to Qatar on an official invitation from the Energy Headquarters in Doha to hold talks with the Qatari officials on bilateral matters.
The delegation will be meeting Sultan Al Aseeri, director general of project development pf Qatari Fund For Development, Saadi Sherida Al Kaabi, state minister for energy affairs, Minister of Labour of the state of Qatar, Saeed Al Marrie and Irfan Shariff From Qatari Hospitality.
The ministers are accompanied by the SLBFE Chairman, Hathurusinghe,ERD Director General Ajith Perera and Dhamikka Wijesinghe director general Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority.
Sri Lankan ambassador in Doha Mafaz Mohideen and the first secretary Sumudu Wilpatha will join the delegation during the talks with Qatari officials.
