
RIYADH – Sri Lanka foreign minister Ali Sabry who attended a panel discussion at the World Economic Forum on Sunday ,April 28 said that his country advocates the two-state solution for the Israeli-Palestine conflict.” We need a world that promotes peace and collaboration.
He further said : “ Sri Lanka is out of the woods compared to two years ago,” tourism has picked up.he added. He stressed that the countries in the global south need the support of the global north.
He also emphasized that in order to rebuild trust amongst the global north and south, the global north must walk the talk. Peace and stability leads to development and prosperity and competing powers must keep the channels of communication open.
Sabry was speakingp at the panel on North to South, East to West: Rebuilding Trust at the Special Meeting on Global Collaboration, Growth and Energy for Development 2024 with Saudi foreign minister Faisal bin Farhan , Qian Liu, Qian is an influential economist and business executive.
