Special Message of Greetings on the Occasion of Milad-un-Nabi
On the occasion of Milad-un-Nabi, commemorating the noble birth of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), I extend my heartfelt greetings and best wishes to all Muslim brothers and sisters across Sri Lanka.
Milad-un-Nabi, observed with deep devotion and reverence by millions of Muslims around the world, is a spiritually significant occasion that commemorates the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the final Prophet of Islam. This day is not merely a religious celebration; it is also a reminder of the timeless guidance brought to all humanity through his teachings—guidance founded upon compassion, mercy, brotherhood, and peace.
It is the responsibility of all of us to build unity in diversity and to foster mutual respect, trust, and brotherhood among all communities. Particularly in a multi-religious and multicultural country such as Sri Lanka, the values and exemplary life of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) hold great importance in strengthening peaceful coexistence and national unity.
This year’s Milad-un-Nabi commemoration should not be confined merely to a religious observance. Let us make it an opportunity to renew our commitment to building a peaceful and united Sri Lanka by nurturing compassion, respect, and brotherhood among one another.
May the noble teachings and exemplary life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) illuminate our lives. I wish everyone a blessed Milad-un-Nabi filled with peace, happiness, prosperity, and brotherhood.
