RIYADH : I wish to extend my best wishes to all the fellow Sri Lankan nationals living in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and back home a happy and prosperous 77th Independence Day of Sri Lanka.
While Sri Lanka enters into a new era of her Independence by celebrating the 77th anniversary, Sri Lanka- Saudi Arabia relations enters into a new era of their establishment of diplomatic relations by celebrating their 50 years of diplomatic ties. This is a remarkable milestone and the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Riyadh is pleased to host a diplomatic reception at the Cultural Palace in the Diplomatic Quarters in Riyadh to commemorate these two happy occasions.
I wish to pay a tribute to all the people of Sri Lanka and Saudi Arabia who contributed to the enhancement of the bilateral ties between the two friendly countries over the decades.
