MELBOURNE : Sri Lanka Western Janaza Schemes 8th Annual General Meeting was held on 10th August 2024, at Fraser Rise Children’s & Community Centre, City Vista Court, Victoria, Melbourne.
As per the constitution of the Association, new office-bearers were elected, in the presence of Sheikh.Ajward Hashim, Dr.Segu Zuhair former president, and Shk. Muhammadu Nawaz secretary of Board of Imams, Victoria.
Following office bearers were elected for the year 2024/2025.

President A.J.Shahim thanked the outgoing committee for the tremendous efforts and contributions rendered during their tenure. He also mentioned that Srilanka Janaza Scheme of North and Western Suburbs,owns 144 graves (plots )in Fawkner & Lara cemeteries.
Current price of a plot in Fawkner is 11,200 Dollars,it’s a big burden to our community. Hence, SLJSWS offer free plots to our SriLankan members.
In our SLJSWS history the highest number of plots purchased in last year,which was 35 nos.
SLJSWS kindly advising all our Sri Lankan members living in Victoria’s North and western Suburbs to get their membership to further strengthen this massive project.
