COLOMBO : The English novel “MAYBE THEY WON’T” will be released on Tuesday, on May 28, at the Colombo BMICH Tulip Hall.
This day marks the launch of the first edition of the novel, which explores a concept that remains largely unspoken in our society: the relationships among young adults—boys and girls—their feelings, thoughts, views, and contradictions, and how parents and society interpret them. The novel delves into the circumstances that arise from these relationships and the decisions young adults make.
Master Abdullah Azmin, a student of KG/Baduriya Central College, Mawanella, who recently sat for the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination, is the author of this novel. The main review speech will be presented by M. Trizvi Maraikkar, Principal of Zahira College, Colombo. Mrs. Fatima Riskia, English Master Teacher of the Puttalam Zonal Education Office, and journalist Abdul Razzak Udayar will be delivering Novel evaluations.
Independent journalist and media analyst A.R.V. Loshan will be the Chief Guest, and the President of the Muslim Media Forum, Alhaj N.M. Ameen will be the Special Guest of the event. Senior journalist Alhaj Latif Farooq will also participate as a Guest of Honor. Stand-up comedian Ms. Taniya Lewwanduwange will attend as a Guest Speaker, and Mr. Afrath Dhulee Rushani Carmel Paranavithana will also contribute to the agenda. Popular media presenter Ms. Dulanjali Ananda will anchor the event.
