COLOMBO — The 61st Independence Day of the Republic of Maldives was celebrated at Cinnamon Life at City of Dreams on Thursday July 23, under the patronage of the High Commissioner of the Maldives to Sri Lanka, Masood Imad.
Minister of Health and Mass Media Nalinda Jayatissa attended the event as the chief guest.
Among the distinguished guests were Deputy Speaker of Parliament Dr. Rizvie Salih, Western Province Governor Hanif Yoosuf, former Foreign Minister Ali Sabry, diplomats, members of the armed forces, officials of the Maldives High Commission, and officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
