WELIGAMA :The islandwide Made in Sri Lanka Trade Fair commenced on Friday, Dec. (26) at Weligama Beach in the Matara District, aiming to support local entrepreneurs by providing access to local and international markets and strengthening domestic production.
Organized by the National Enterprise Development Authority (NEDA) in line with the national program to revive local industries, the trade fair will be held on December 26, 27 and 28 from 10.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m. The inaugural ceremony was held under the patronage of Minister of Industries and Entrepreneurship Development, Sunil Handunnetthi.
The exhibition features 128 stalls showcasing quality local products, along with cultural performances, live music, food stalls and courier facilities to send purchased goods overseas. The event is organized in collaboration with several public and private institutions, including the Matara District Secretariat, Weligama Divisional Secretariat, Sampath Bank and the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau
