Colombo Times, a web portal, will distribute lunch packets and school stationery to the inmates of an orphanage in Colombo to mark Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday on September 28.
Chief Editor and founder of Colombo Times, Mohammed Rasooldeen told the Sunday Observer that this is part of its CSR program which is geared to help deserving people.
He said that this program is fully funded by a philanthropist who wishes to remain anonymous.
Rasooldeen said that the Colombo Times which started its Tamil edition last week, would welcome philanthropists and organisations who wish to take part in such CSR programs that help the poor irrespective of caste, creed or religion.Sunday Observer
