COLOMBO- People came in large numbers on Friday evening, May 21,to the Pettah market to buy their provisions and vegetables in preparation for the three-day travel restriction from 11pm same day.
The social distance rule could not be followed by the shoppers since each one wanted to finish one’s shopping early and get back home in time.
