COLOMBO : A statement from the Association of Sri Lanka Graduates in Cuba has urged the US to remove Cuba from the List of States that sponsor terrorism
The US must remove Cuba from the List of States that sponsor terrorism. The Association of Sri Lanka Graduates of Cuban University Institutions speaks out and asks the United States government to remove Cuba from the list of countries that allegedly sponsor terrorism.
“ This is an injustice and an arbitrary and unfounded measure that has been criticized and demanded by numerous governments, political, religious and mass organizations in many countries around the world.
The truth is that Cuba does not sponsor terrorism, but has been a victim of it, including state terrorism, for more than 60 years and has supported the fight for peace and against terrorism of all kinds. Cuba played an unquestionable commitment to the Colombian peace process. Cuban cooperation has proven to be selfless, supportive and respectful of the countries’ sovereignty.
The Association of Sri Lanka Graduates joins the international condemnation and supports the Declaration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba and requests that the US must remove Cuba, once and for all, from the List of States that supposedly sponsor terrorism.”
