HA NOI : As part of his on-going state visit to Vietnam, President Anura Kumara Disanayake paid his respects this morning (05) at the War Heroes’ Monument in Hanoi by laying a floral wreath in honour of those who sacrificed their lives.
Following this, the President visited the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum located at the Presidential Palace. There, he placed a floral tribute at the final resting place of the late President Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam’s first President and a revered leader of the country’s struggle for independence.
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism, Vijitha Herath, also joined the President for these solemn observances. Virt Nam ambassador in Colombo Trinh Thi Tam also took part in the event .
