COLOMBO: The Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka (CAAS) on Friday, June 5, has announced the limitations stipulated for the arriving passengers at the international airports in Sri Lanka.
According to a circular issued by Rayhan Wanniappa, Director Air Transport & Economic Regulation of CAAS.
, the following will apply in respect of passenger numbers per arriving aircraft at Sri Lanka International Airports with immediate effect:
A maximum of 75 passengers per arriving aircraft for passengers not arriving via the Sri Lanka Tourism Bio Bubble Route.
No limitation in numbers for passengers arriving via the Sri Lanka Tourism Bio Bubble Route holding tourist visas, resident visas & dual citizens. (www.srilanka.travel/helloagain)
In respect of the passengers arriving via the Sri Lanka Tourism Bio Bubble Route please note the following: Foreign nationals arriving via the Sri Lanka Tourism Bio Bubble Route with an approved Electronic Travel Authorization do not need any further approval from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka or the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority.
Dual citizens, resident visa holders and Sri Lankan passport holder family members of foreign passport holders arriving via Sri Lanka Tourism Bio Bubble Route with a confirmation letter from the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority and a confirmed booking at a Level 1 Hotel do not need any further approval from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka.
Airlines are instructed to adhere to the provisions of this communication sent on the instructions of the Director General of Civil Aviation.
