COLOMBO — The 62nd National Day and the 32nd Anniversary of the Liberation of the State of Kuwait was held at the Cinnamon Grand, Colombo on Wednesday,February 22.
The Minister of Labour and Foreign Employment Manusha Nanayakkara was present as a chief guest. Speaker of Parliament Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena, Foreign Minister Ali Sabry, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait Khalaf M. M. Bu Dhhair hosted the event while Minister of State for Rural Economy Kader Masthan, Diplomats, Embassy Officials and Invitees were also present.
Chief Guest Manusha Nanayakkara along with the Speaker of Parliament Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait Khalaf M. M. Bu Dhhair and Ambassador of Palestine Zuhair Mohommad Hamdallah Dar Zaid cut the anniversary cake.
Also Kuwait Ambassador presented a token of appreciation to Minister Manusha Nanayakkara. A Two-minutes silence was observed for quake victims in Turkey and Syria earthquake.
