COLOMBO: During his recent visit to Sri Lanka, Kenji Okamura, Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) visited South Asia Gateway Terminals in the Port of Colombo, together with the Shehan Semasinghe, State Minister of Finance and a delegation of senior officials from the IMF, Central Bank of Sri Lanka, Ministry of Ports & Shipping, Ministry of Finance and the Sri Lanka Ports Authority.
The delegation toured the terminal and thereafter participated in a discussion on the competitive standing, evolution, and significant growth potential of the Port of Colombo as the primary container transhipment hub port in South Asia.
