COLOMBO — “ Kantha Saviya “ Women’s Organization distributed school books, bags, stationery, baby cots, blankets, pillows, milk powder , children’s clothes and biscuits to mark the International Children Day programme at Badulla District, Uva Province on Wednesday September 28.
“ Kantha Saviya “ is operating under the A. J. M. Muzammil Foundation and it has been organizing children’s day events in different parts of the country for many years.
Tamil Vidyalaya and Shree Ganesha Vidyalaya of the same area including Badulla Vidyadeepa Primary School students were given uniforms, bags and books on the occasion. In these events held under the guidance of school principals, students and cultural events also performed by students in this ceremony.
President of “ Kantha Saviya’ Women’s Organization Feroza Muzammil, Mayor of Bandarawela City Janaka Nishantha Ratnayake, Secretary of Uva Provincial Education Ministry Mrs. Sandhya Apanvela including education directors, parents, well wishes and teachers were participated in these events.
