COLOMBO ; The Judicial Service Commission ,JSC, has appointed 10 new Quazis, effective from 3rd November 2025.
Acting/cover duty Quazis in these areas are requested not to discharge, issue orders, or
finalise cases beyond 2nd November, as their cover duty period will end on that date. The
JSC has sent official appointment letters to the newly posted Quazis, who will receive them in due
course. Also, JSC has sent letters to the Cover duty Quazis as well.
If any Acting Quazi has already summoned clients, they should coordinate with the newly appointed
Quazi, allowing them to perform their duties while the Acting Quazi facilitates and guides wherCOLOMBO necessary.
During the handover of case files, registers, certificates, etc., please keep a proper record and send
a copy to the JSC as acknowledgement.
