COLOMBO – Islamic Religious Ceremony was held to mark the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation 95th Anniversary at the Colpetty Jumma Mosque Friday 18th December.
Vice President of the Mosque Muslim Salahudeen delivered the welcome address and Moulavi Amhar Hakamdeen and Moulavi Abdul Haliq conducted the special prayers in Sinhala and Tamil language.
Secretary to the Media Ministry Jagarth P. Wijeweera, SLBC Chairman Jagath Wickremasinge and Director General Chandrapala Liyanage also addressed the gathering.
Deputy Director General Programme Mayuri Abeysinghe, Director of Music Rajitha Gamini, Colpetty Jumma Mosque President Kaleel Haji and Members of the Muslim Service Advisory Board were also present.
Former Muslim Service Director and member of the Muslim Service Advisory Board M.Z. Ahamed Munawwar proposed the vote of thanks.
