COLOMBO – The Islamic Society of the Lindsay Girls School, Colombo 3 had organized the annual “Al Mawahib Al Islamiyah “ Islamic Day awards ceremony at the School Main Hall on Monday April 29.
It was held under the patronage of Principal of the School Ms. Nayomi Dassanayake.
Senior Lecturer, Department of Human Resources Management, Faculty of Management and Finance, University of Colombo Ms. Ruwaiha Razik was present as chief guest and Ihsaniyyah Arabic College Principal Ash Sheik M.F.M. Farood was present as guest speaker.
President of Islamic Society Manal Zuri delivered the welcome address and students presented speech, drama, song and qaseeda.
Also students received awards in various contests from the chief guest and guest speaker at this ceremony.
Deputy Principal Ranitha Jayasinghe, Primary Section Principal Ms. W.G. Upendra Lakmali, teacher -in-charge of Islamic Society Zulaiha Nowzil teachers, parents, students and old girls were present.
