

COLOMBO : Sameera, Sri Lankan activist who was detained by Israeli soldiers at the Sumud Flotilla arrived in Colombo on Sunday morning on 24 May.
The group,, Free Palestine Movement, which has been looking after her interests from Colombo received Sameera at the Colombo airport .
Among those who received her included Hana Ibrahim, Tassy Dhahlan, Hussain Shamil., weel- wishers and her family members.
Arrangements are being made for Sameera to share her experiences with the press shortly .
“ We would also like to take this moment to thank all people who were involved in raising awareness of her illegal abduction in international waters by the Israeli army and all those who took measures within their professional, civic and political capacity to ensure her safety, “ a member of. the group said here .
“ We would also like to acknowledge the government of Sri Lanka for their strong stance in standing with Sameera’s rights, dignity and safety following her illegal abduction in international waters by the Israelis , “ he added .
