COLOMBO – The Iran Cultural Centre in collaboration with Colombo Public Library had organized Iranian famous artist Majid Fattahi and Sarvi Jafar Ali’s Calligraphy and Illumination Workshop and Exhibition was declare open at the Public Library premises on Monday October 2 and it will be held till 6th of October.
Cultural Counsellor of Iran Cultural Centre Dr. B. Moazami Goodarzi and Chief Librarian of Colombo Public Library Waruni Gagabadaarachchi were also present at this opening ceremony.
Cultural Counsellor of Iran Cultural Centre Dr. B. Moazami Goodarzi said that Sri Lanka and Iran are like neighboring countries and has a long friendship in Economic, Trade and Cultural areas. These Iranian artists are very famous artists in Iran and he also said that this is good opportunity for Sri Lankans to learn Iranian Art and Calligraphy. He thanked the Public Library for continuously giving their support. Chief Librarian of Colombo Public Library Waruni Gagabadaarachchi also addressed the gathering. Public Library Staffs, Students and Parents view the exhibition.
