COLOMBO – The Moors Islamic Cultural Home (MICH) had organized its 71st Annual Meelad un Nabi Celebration and Awards Ceremony of Hifl, Oratory, Multimedia Presentation and Calligraphy Contest on Saturday November 23 at the A.A.M. Marleen Auditorium, Wellawatte, Colombo 6. It was held under the patronage of President of the MICH Omar Kamil.
Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran Dr. Alireza Delkhosh and Madam Delkhosh were present as chief guest and distributed awards to the winners of the contest.
Winners of the Oratorical Contest addressed in English, Sinhala and Tamil languages in various subjects.
President of the MICH Omar Kamil presented publications of the MICH to the chief guest Dr. Alireza Delkhosh.
MICH Joint Secretary Ashroff Jameel and Rimaz Saleem, Joint Treasurer Fareen Ghouse, MICH Women’s Bureau President Mrs. Zahar Haniffa, Secretary Faiza Jaleel, Parents and Students were also present.
Chairman of the Dawa and Religious Committee S. Muhammad Shazli proposed the vote of thanks.
